This is the third painting in my new series, "From My Kayak". Although I have painted dozens of paintings from photos I took while kayaking, I never tire of river grasses. While completing this painting, I had a relapse of an illness, and I realized why the painting was so dark in color. So, I took it back to my private home studio, and lots of yellow later, it came to life. Just shows how my art and my life are intertwined. If I am struggling with my art, I step back, and try to understand what I am struggling with in my life.
